Stephen Cheong-Leen is a Chinese Filipino American photographer based in Chicago, Illinois. His instinctive ability to capture a decisive heightened moment conveys a strong sense of place, intimacy, and identity in his images. Through a minimalist and pared-down aesthetic, he captures the modern elegance and natural beauty of his subjects. Whether the assignment is a full production or a simple/not heavily curated sitting, his direct, down-to-earth, and collaborative approach enables him to create an elevated reality expressed through both fashion and portraiture.

Before pursuing his own photography and art direction, Stephen worked as a women’s booking agent at Factor Women Model Management (currently Select Model Management Chicago, formerly Elite Chicago). Having booked with and delivered on the diverse needs of top commercial, high fashion, and editorial clients, he leverages his past experience as an agent to deliver on all of his clients' imaging needs.

Stephen received his Bachelor of Science in Business at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. His time spent living in NOLA and his travels to Hong Kong, Europe, and throughout North and Central Americas spurred his passion for diverse culture and image creation.
